Who knew the worst client you'll ever come across as a designer is yourself? I'm pretty positive I'm not alone when I express my overwhelming disdain for personal projects, much less one you don't touch for another three years. But I did it. I finished this flashy behemoth and loved it for exactly three months after it was completed. Using an external XML file to update each portfolio piece meant I didn't have to edit the flash file, and using a cute sketch of myself meant I never got tired of looking at it. R.I.P., you big, beautiful pain in my ass.
